Dear Friends,
As we approach the New Year of 5786, a most auspicious time preceding the holiest days, I extend my heartfelt call to you. Please join forces with us in sustaining our beloved Community.
The Chabad Jewish Center celebrates its 28th year, being "A Home for Every Jew" embracing all with love and no judgment, regardless of level of observance, knowledge, or affiliation. We hold steadfast to the intrinsic beauty and value within each individual, believing that every Jew is a beautiful child of G-d and every act of goodness can transform the world. Chabad addresses educational, social, spiritual and personal needs.
Chabad Jewish Center is a community-based organization that serves the entire community and has no preconditions to attend, intentionally removing barriers to participation. Nevertheless, we rely on support and CJC's operating budget comes completely from generous individuals in the community who become partner members and Chai Pillars.
Please become a "partner-member or Chai Pillar" and give to our community by completing the form below (High Holiday seats are also included in this).
Your support enables us to maintain a multitude of programs, including Shabbat dinners where jews get a taste of delicious Shabbat food and the beauty of Judaism, Coffee & Torah discussion where Jews explore their faith, women’s circle where women find meaning and learn the importance of the woman in Judaism, and a diverse array of Jewish meetups and innovative educational Jewish programming. "Loaves of Love" and "Holiday Meals for homebound Seniors and those in need" that ensure the well-being of our elderly and that we look out for the most vulnerable in our community. Community Chanukah celebrations that showcase our Jewish presence and pride. Purim, Sukkot, and Passover Seder gatherings bring warmth, family and holiday traditions and insight. Adult education courses offer profound faith understanding and finding meaning and depth of Judaism. "Camp Gan Israel" and Hebrew School/ Jewish enrichment ensures children receive a joyful Jewish education. High Holiday services welcome all like family in a user-friendly way, offering traditional inspiration alongside contemporary messages.
It also enables Rabbi Shlomo and Daniella to be there personally for every Jew in the community whether it is, questions of faith, emotional hardship, illness, familial, personal or any kind of need. This also allows us to welcome everyone at Chabad including those who can't afford partner-membership.
Whether you are new to the community or a long-time resident, occasional attendee or distant observer, please become a partner with us!
Chabad stands ready to serve with existing programs as well as recently CJC added programs in response to the new Jewish growth and new needs in our community. The Rabbi and Daniella have been hosting coffee clubs, Shabbat dinners, and reaching out with love and care to new Jews, and those who need encouragement to engage their faith.
But in order to do this we need your partnership and support.
We need your help!
Please partner with us and give to our community by becoming a partner member with the CJC.
At this time I also invite you to join us for an inspirational High Holidays, even if briefly, for the sermon and Shofar blowing. Attend a Shabbat meal, Coffee & Discussion, Women’s Circle, or any program of your choice to embrace the wisdom and joy of Judaism. Expand your mind, enrich your knowledge, and nourish your soul. You can also schedule a one-on-one call or meeting with the Rabbi or Daniella.
By investing in our community, may you merit a blessed year ahead. May your generosity bring a year of health, sweetness, and fulfillment. May your name be inscribed in the book of life, with blessings of prosperity, security, and happiness.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Rabbi Shlomo Uminer
Ps If at this time you cant become full partner member you can still help the community. Please give to the community by making a generous donation of whatever amount you can at www.ChabadMSL.com/Donate
