Our goal is to provide the children with an appreciation of Jewish tradition and scholarship, information that they’ll need to make educated choices about their respective lifestyles. If you want your child to decide for themselves when they get older and choose which path they’ll take in Judaism, you’ve got a good point-G‑d gave them free choice and we can’t, and shouldn’t, take it away from them. But you’ve got to equip them to make those choices. They must know what Judaism really is, how substantive a force it can truly be in their lives, and then be in a position to make educated choices.
